Quavo is heading to the French Riviera.
Quavo stars alongside Billy Zane in the upcoming thriller Takeover, which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, Variety reports. The Greg Jonkajtys-directed movie centers around Guy Miller, played by Quavo, a man who’s on parole but falls into the lure of Atlanta’s underground racing scene. He joins forces with criminal ringleader Gamal Akopyan, played by Zane, who convinces Miller to participate in a diamond heist.
Also starring are Serayah, LaMonica Garrett and Martin Sensmeier. Quavo and his business partner Jen McDaniels co-produced Takeover on behalf of Huncho Films, while Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Pierre “P” Thomas and Brian Sher also served as producers.

Takeover will be screened at Cannes courtesy of global sales agency 13 Films. The company’s president, Tannaz Anisi, said Takeover “masterfully blends high-stakes action with a poignant exploration of redemption.”
“I’m really excited for this opportunity, especially shooting in my hometown of Atlanta,” Quavo said when the film was announced in 2022. “This film is an ideal opportunity to further delve into my craft, and I can’t wait to see how the action plays out in this animated environment.”
Quavo previously showed his acting chops in theaters and on the small screen before, his most notable roles being in Atlanta, and Praise This and Sneaks.
