Megan Thee Stallion is getting her very own anime series on Prime Video. The rapper — who loves anime — announced the news at DreamCon on May 30. Dressed as the popular Bleach anime character Yoruichi Shihōin, Megan took the stage to announce that she’s collaborating with Carl Jones (who worked on The Boondocks) for the new project.
“You ain’t never seen an anime like this ever in your life,” teased Meg without giving any more details.
Megan’s made it clear over the years how much she loves anime. Back in 2020, she collaborated with Crunchyroll to create an anime-inspired streetwear capsule. The unisex pieces, which include short-and long-sleeve graphic tees, a canvas tote bag, and pullover hoodies, promote her animated “Savage” video with anime images.
Earlier that year, Megan detailed her passion for anime during an interview with Crunchyroll.

“I’m half anime character, half rapper,” she said. “I like how you see a character, and it starts off, he’s not really the strongest, he might be a little weak, but he has to go through all this training. You grow with the character. You see all the trials and tribulations they go through. Then you meet new people along the way that help them become the person he needs to be. I apply that to my life a lot.”
On May 29, Megan debuted her 18-piece Hot Girl Summer swim collection during PARAISO Miami Swim Week. The collection, that’ll also be available at Walmart stores, its website, and Megan’s site, features multicolored bikinis, monokinis, one-piece swimsuits and swimsuit cover-ups, and other pieces that range from $16 to $28.
“Everyone knows I love being near a pool or a beach, so I finally decided to turn my passion into a business and create my own swimwear brand,” Megan said in a press release. “It was only right that we kick off Hot Girl Summer with this launch and provide Hotties of all body types with the official Hot Girl uniform. I used to shop at Walmart growing up, so it’s a full circle to have my own line available at Walmart and I’m so grateful for their support.”
