You can now get HoRNet Plugins’ Graffio multi-band distortion for free for a limited time.
But it’s always worth sharing a freebie, no matter how many times it’s been available, because there are always people who missed it last time or haven’t seen it yet.
So, we have Graffio, by HoRNet, a multi-band distortion plugin that usually costs €11.99, available for free.
The offer ends on April 30, 2026, after which, Graffio will return to its regular price.
The plugin is available in AU and VST3 formats for macOS and Windows.
Graffio has been around for over a decade, so it’s no surprise that it’s been offered as a freebie a few times.
The distortion plugin has three bands: Low, Mid/Wide, and High.
Each band has three distinct processors with Bypass switches.
The processors are: Saturator, Exciter, and Bit Reducer.
Each processor has a dedicated dry/wet control so you can create the ideal blend across all three bands.
You also get a dedicated level control per band.
The processors are pretty straightforward.
Saturator offers smooth clipping, the Exciter adds harmonics to the signal, and the Bit Reducer adds digital distortion.
In short, the three processors offer subtle warmth, crunch, sparkle, lo-fi destruction, and anything in between (or, a little bit of everything).
You can also shape the impact of each processor on a specific band by adjusting the level of odd/even harmonics or changing the number of bits, etc.
The flexibility provided by the available controls makes Graffio suitable for basic mix tasks to more experimental sound design.
Graffio also offers 4X oversampling and a full-band mode if you don’t need the multi-band setup.
My past experience with Graffio was that it could deliver great results, but it was somewhat temperamental (it was prone to buggy/janky behaviour from time to time when things didn’t work as expected).
Maybe it’s time to revisit the plugin and see if the latest update has improved the overall experience.
The collection is a lot of fun, and although you could easily describe any mumble rap album as “a collection of non-verbal vocal sounds,” this pack is actually very good!
