Cardi B said she believes she would have landed in jail for murder if she had stayed in a relationship with Offset—and added that she’s “very happy” with Stefon Diggs.
During an X Spaces livestream on Tuesday (June 3), the rapper spoke about the turmoil surrounding her separation from Offset and the journey to healing that led her to her current relationship with Diggs.
In response to being called a “hoe” by her detractors online, Cardi explained that she was single last September through February and spent that time partying, learning about herself, and “crying a lot.”
“I don’t think people understand how tired I was … I was mentally drained,” she said around the nine-minute mark in the video above. “Couldn’t eat—I was getting frequent headaches. I was literally losing my mind. I gave [him] chances after chances.
“If I was still there, I was gonna end up going to jail. Cause I was gonna end up killing him, seriously, with my own bare hands,” she admitted. “It was just getting too much.”
