Orra EQ handles tone and harmonic shaping. It is a 16-band parametric equalizer where each band can run in one of five modes: standard EQ, Orra Tube, Tape, Models, or Dynamic EQ.
What I found very interesting is that the bands process in series rather than in parallel. That basically means Orra EQ behaves more like a chain of analog-style stages, where one band can feed into the next and create more complex harmonic interactions.
Each band also supports Mid/Side processing, so you can treat the center and sides differently inside a single instance. The plugin includes five filter types, slopes up to 96 dB/octave, 17 saturation options, dynamic saturation, oversampling up to 4x, and a real-time spectrum analyzer with pre/post monitoring.
Orra Press is focused on dynamics. It is a serial compressor with six independent slots, and each slot can load any of six engines: Classic VCA, Optical, FET, Multiband, Spectral, or Limiter.
You can reorder the engines to test different signal paths, which is the main appeal here. Instead of loading several compressors across a channel and constantly swapping inserts around, you can build a full dynamics chain inside one plugin.
Orra Press also includes independent sidechains per slot, A/B/C/D snapshots, a linear-phase four-band multiband engine, FFT-domain spectral compression for resonance control, and a limiter with true-peak ISP and LUFS metering.
Both plugins use Orra Link, the companion plugin that lets you sidechain any track in your session regardless of your DAW’s routing limits. That can be useful if your DAW makes sidechain routing more annoying than it needs to be.
