At pointblank music school, we’re proud to support and celebrate the incredible women who have studied with us and gone on to make their mark in the music industry. This International Women’s Day, we’re spotlighting some of our talented female alumni, recognising their achievements and contributions across production, DJing, songwriting, and beyond.

The music industry is constantly evolving, and while there’s still progress to be made in achieving true equality, these women are leading the way—breaking barriers, creating outstanding work, and inspiring the next generation. Join us as we highlight their journeys and celebrate their successes.

    Kylie Parham (Kyliente)

Course: Music Production and DJ Certificate (London)

Socials: Instagram / TikTok / Soundcloud / Website

Kylie Parham (artist name: Kyliente) is an American tech house and peak-time techno talent who has been in the dance music scene for over a decade. She studied the DJ/Music Production course in London in 2023 before performing internationally at many esteemed venues and major festivals, including Groove Cruise Miami, Ultra Europe, and Area15. She’s widely known as the “technymph,” as her style combines hard-hitting techno basslines with the danceable vocals and groove of house.

Alongside her music, Kylie launched her monthly mix series, “Empyria”, in April 2024 and celebrated the 10th edition with a live show in Brooklyn. She also co-owns the dance music outlet Exron, one of the largest media organisations in the space and one of the few with an impressive 90% women employment rate. It reaches over 3.5 million a month, proving to be a success.

    Florentia Stassi (FLORENTIA)

Course: Music Production & Sound Engineering Degree (3 Years) / Complete DJ / Intro to Logic Pro

Socials: Instagram / YouTube / Soundcloud / Spotify /  Website

Florentia Stassi (artist name: FLORENTIA) joined pointblank music school in 2017, beginning with the Intro to Logic Pro course before enrolling in the three-year Music Production & Sound Engineering Degree and the DJ Complete course during the pandemic. After graduating, she secured an internship at Defected Records, where she curated the now 24/7 Defected Radio channel. In 2021, she entered the elrow’s Up & Coming Competition and was selected as the elrow resident DJ, making her the youngest and the only female artist ever chosen thus far. She held the residency from 2021 to 2023 before joining the NGE Booking Agency roster, where she is represented alongside artists such as Jamie Jones, Alan Fitzpatrick, and Paco Osuna.

Her performances have included major events and venues like Jamie Jones’ Paradise London at Drumsheds, Hï Ibiza for Eric Prydz Presents: CELL, Ushuaïa for ANTS, Amnesia Ibiza, Eastern Electrics Festival, The Warehouse Project for BBC Radio 1 & elrow, and Sziget Festival. Her talent has also been recognised through guest mixes on Toolroom Records’ Toolroom Radio Show, BBC Introducing Mini Mix, and LWE. With a growing presence in the industry, she continues to push boundaries as both a DJ and producer, solidifying her reputation as a rising force in electronic music.

    Sophia Hadef

Course: Music Production and Sound Engineering Diploma

    Socials: Instagram / Spotify Podcast

Sophia took a course at pointblank that reshaped her perspective on music and its impact. While she did not pursue a music career, the business-focused aspects of the course provided invaluable insights that later proved essential in her transition into the tech industry and, eventually, procurement. That same foundation later inspired her to study journalism and launch a radio show, merging her love for music with a passion for literature. Hosting The Cure led to a significant achievement—winning the Radio DJ Award at the Smedia Awards—an accomplishment in which she believed “her time at pointblank played a huge role in that success”.

Now working in business and hosting a literary podcast that occasionally explores music topics, Sophia continues to apply the knowledge she gained at pointblank to both her creative and professional endeavours. The skills and insights acquired during her time in London remain a defining thread, connecting different aspects of her evolving career.

Her impressive trajectory includes recording sets for both HOR and Boiler Room, showcasing her distinctive musical style and technical prowess. Her talent has been recognised by mainstream platforms, with guest mixes featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra.

In a significant career milestone, Tailor released her debut solo track, which garnered support from BBC 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs as the “New Music Future Track of the Day” and received recognition from DJ Mag. Building on this momentum, she now holds a coveted Rinse FM residency, cementing her position as a rising force in the industry. Her journey exemplifies how the skills developed at pointblank can translate into real-world success across multiple platforms in electronic music.

Since completing her studies, she has developed a unique sonic identity that sets her apart in the industry. Her creative output includes several successful releases, culminating in her acclaimed album REDUX – a testament to her artistic vision and technical expertise.

Halina’s work highlights how the foundations built at pointblank can evolve into a fully realised musical identity, enabling artists to carve out their own space in the competitive electronic music scene. Her continued success showcases the potential for pointblank alumni to develop sustainable, innovative careers that push the boundaries of electronic music production.

    Julia Borelli

With over a billion streams to her name, she ranks among the top 1% of engineers worldwide and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Germany Class of 2025.

Julia began as a guitarist in bands before moving into production, becoming an assistant engineer in Rio de Janeiro at just 18. Her early work contributed to Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning projects, and she remains a Voting Member of the Recording Academy.
