“The most unexpected thing in my phone?” he says. “A comic book I’m writing with my boy based on my new EP.” It’s all happening in a shared note, complete with red lines, character arcs, and images. “I’ve never seen an artist do that with their music.”
His comic book obsession runs deep. Growing up in Brooklyn’s Park Slope, he spent hours in a local comic shop devouring “Black Panther” like it was a public library. That early fandom clearly stuck.

These days, Leon’s Notes app is packed—songs, lyrics, unfinished thoughts. “It’s absolute chaos in there,” he admits. “I wish I had it all sectioned off… which I can do, but just not right now.”
Still, that chaos is working. He texts constantly with close collaborators like Bizzy Crook, sharing ideas, lyrics, and beats throughout the day. “My phone is really my greatest creative tool.”
Even with contacts like Drake and Justin Bieber saved in his phone, Leon keeps things lowkey. “I never use either of their numbers,” he says. “I don’t want to bother them.” But sometimes, the love comes to him—like a recent Bieber video chat, just to give props for his music.
As for the DMs? They get wild. One fan asked him to sing a song on Instagram to help her win her man back. “It was pretty interesting,” Leon says, with a grin. “A lot of people want me to sing at their weddings.”
Then there’s the lock screen: a personal vision board with sold-out shows, a Billboard #1, and a $10M check front and center. “Just trying to manifest some money,” he laughs.
