Quavo wasted no time when he recently paid a visit to PlaqueBoyMax‘s livestream, laying down verses for two new songs in 20 minutes.
On Monday night, Quavo was the guest on Max’s popular livestream where they checked in with each other and rated music submitted by his viewers, as seen in the video above.
The usual highlight of Max’s livestream is the In the Booth segment, where his guests record songs from scratch.
Quavo told Max he could do damage and did so by getting in the booth and recording a pair of bangers. The first song, titled “Nun,” features hard-hitting production with Quavo serving up bars about flexing on his opps.
“Big splash, it’s a bucket / Havin’ that fire like an oven / White bitch, she Russian / Turned to the max, don’t touch me / In the chat these pussy n****s typin’ (Uh) / Better stop all that woofin’ (Stop it) / Pullin’ up, give ‘em belt to ass (Belt) / I’m talkin’ ‘bout the whoopin’ (Uh),” Quavo rapped.
On the next song titled “Glacier,” Max laced Quavo up with a smoother beat, and the latter let off a series of melodic bars about putting his lady in Bottega, going big with his team, and more.
“I don’t give a damn how rich I get, still watchin’ for a floss (Yeah),” he rapped. “When I’m takin’ drugs still in a cocoon (I’m in a cocoon) / I’m tryna go beast mode like I’m from the zoo (Like I’m from the zoo) / Promise to tell the truth when I’m in the booth (I tell the truth) / I had to go out and get it just like you (I swear to God).”
Other artists who have who have recorded heat with Max on In The Booth include Skepta, Central Cee, Sexyy Red, Kevin Gates, and even Cash Cobain, who actually made a whole beat during the livestream.
One of the best songs in the series came from Wiz Khalifa when he and Max made “London Layover” in February. The song featured staticky production and bars about getting high and partying.
“Could hardly recall the shit that I’ve done / I told her bring more I can’t only do one / I got here tonight and I’m gone when the sun / Come up / It’s early as fuck, I’m the only one up / I had too much to drink so I’m in a rush / She just fell asleep, she still in the tub / I’m packing my bag and rolling my bud,” Wiz rapped.
