Donald Trump has adopted the nickname “Daddy.”
On Wednesday, the White House shared a promo video featuring the president’s new moniker as he attended the NATO summit in the Netherlands. The tweet boasted the tagline, “Daddy’s Home,” lifted from Usher’s 2010 song, “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home),” which soundtracked Trump’s clip.
Included in the video is a montage of images showing Trump arriving in the Netherlands on Air Force One and at the summit, which was attended by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, among others.
Usher is not a Trump supporter. Last fall, the pop star stumped for Kamala Harris in Atlanta during her presidential campaign.

According to TMZ, the White House shared the promo clip after Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte held a joint press conference. It appears Rutte bestowed the “Daddy” nickname upon Trump during the meeting, when Trump described Israel and Iran as “two kids in a schoolyard” that had a “big fight,” per ABC News.
Rutte responded, “Daddy has to sometimes use strong language to get them to stop.” He was referring to the previous day when Trump blurted out an expletive while claiming Iran and Israel violated their ceasefire agreement, brokered with the help of the president earlier this week.
At the time of writing, Usher hadn’t responded to Trump’s use of the song.
