Tyler, The Creator fans are sharing their favorite lines from DON’T TAP THE GLASS, the two-time Grammy winner’s ninth album.
Monday, hours removed from the 10-song album’s shrewdly timed release, Tyler asked fans to chime in with their picks, resulting in no shortage of key moments getting some extra shine on the platform formerly known as Twitter. Among them, expectedly, was a widely zeroed-in-on lyric about Ozempic on “Don’t Tap That Glass / Tweakin.’”
Closing out the second verse of the first section of the two-part song is a jokingly delivered line about being able to “smell” the weight loss-associated drug, like so:
“You can get a workout, not in the gym, bitch/You ain’t gotta lie, we can smell the Ozempic”
Asked “why would you say that” by a fan on Monday, Tyler offered a succinct explanation.

“Cause them gym photos don’t be throwing no one off lmfao,” he said.
DON’T TAP THE GLASS, like CHROMAKOPIA before it, arrived at the top of the week, thereby eschewing the Friday standard the industry has been following since 2015. Back in 2023, Tyler explained his aversion to releasing new music at the start of the weekend during an oft-referenced moment in that year’s Nardwuar interview. In short, “passive listening” is encouraged with Friday release dates, while dropping earlier in the week, per Tyler, is more likely to enable a listening experience closer to what any given artist has in mind.
If you’ve somehow yet to ingratiate yourself with Tyler’s latest, stop denying yourself pleasure and dive in immediately here.
