Suge Knight spoke up for Capricorn Clark, the former assistant of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who testified against her former boss on Tuesday (May 27).
In her testimony, Clark alleged that the Bad Boy Entertainment founder threatened to kill her because of her association with Knight, whom she previously worked for as a Death Row Records employee. Clark was also accused of stealing jewelry from Diddy, although she claimed that the pieces were loaned to her and went missing.
Knight, who’s serving 28 years in jail for manslaughter, spoke to TMZ on Tuesday and revealed that he communicated with Clark after the alleged threat was made.
“Without throwing her under the bus, she felt scared, she felt afraid and she felt that she was pressured,” Knight said. “She felt she was helpless.”
Knight also agreed that Clark thought Diddy would “make good” on his alleged threat. While Knight said he was “aware of the conversation,” he “didn’t judge it one way or the other.”
“Death Row and Bad Boy is closer than people would think,” he added.
During Clark’s testimony, she claimed that upon working for Diddy in 2004, she was told that if “anything happened” due to her association with Knight, he might have to kill her. During the jewelry theft incident, Clark was allegedly forced to take a polygraph test and, if failed, associates of Diddy speculated that she would be thrown in the East River.
Knight was previously brought up during the trial, with Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, alleging that the music mogul stopped a ‘freak-off’ to confront, and potentially shoot, Knight at a nearby diner.
