As the year winds down and the studio lights start to feel a little more festive, we’ve been looking back at what made 2025 so special at pointblank. Beyond the late-night studio sessions and the shared playlists passed around like holiday treats, one thing stands out: our students and graduates keep showing up for their craft, and for each other in ways that genuinely inspire us.
This Student Spotlight Wrapped is our way of celebrating those wins, big and small. Some of these stories are about stepping into new industries, others are about levelling up inside them. Some students are carving out space for wellbeing and inclusivity, others are building campaigns, shaping culture, mixing world-class shows, or scoring music for the screen. Different paths, same thread: the courage to commit to the work, and the community that grows when you do. So grab a metaphorical mince pie, turn the monitors up, and meet a few of the people who made our year shine.
Jenny Halseid
Jenny Halseid’s journey is proof that creativity doesn’t always arrive in a straight line – sometimes it’s a brave pivot. She began at pointblank in 2019, transitioning from a science background into the world of music and sound. She remembers her time here as being shaped by community and support: the kind that makes taking a leap feel possible. Studying BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering, Jenny built technical confidence while finding her voice as an artist and creator.
After graduating in 2022, she continued pushing her academic and creative boundaries with an MSc in Music, and later founded Synappro, a wellness-focused startup rooted in meaningful impact beyond the studio. In 2025, her work was recognised with the Inclusivity Champion award and the Shakespeare Martineau Legal Prize. And the music hasn’t stopped: Jenny is still creating, still refining, and preparing to release her debut EP later this year, which is a fitting next chapter built on curiosity, courage, and care.
Kloe Hackett
Kloe Hackett’s spotlight is all about momentum; the kind you build when you use every lesson in real time. While still studying our BA (Hons) Music Business, Kloe joined Ditto Label Services in December 2023 as a Marketing Coordinator, primarily working within Black music. Her focus has stayed clear: amplify artist visibility, reach new markets, and tell stories that land.
A career highlight has been her work with UK/Nigerian Afrobeats artist Darkoo. Campaigns Kloe helped lead contributed to Darkoo winning two MOBO Awards (Best Female and Best Song), alongside major moments like TikTok UGC, strong DSP support, and billboard promotions. Kloe also supported Potter Payper’s album ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’, securing a Top 20 on the UK Official Rap Albums Chart. Earlier this year, she was promoted to Marketing Manager, now leading the team and improving workflows.
Soham Khosla
Soham Khosla’s story carries the kind of heart that fits a year-end reflection: the courage to leave comfort behind and follow what truly calls you. In 2017, he stepped away from a marketing job to pursue music. Since 2018 he’s been focussing on his Indian roots through Indian Classical Music, developing artistry with patience, intention, and pride. Along the way, he performed with the Symphony Orchestra of India at the NCPA and at many other events.
Soham’s creative path keeps expanding. While grounded in tradition, he’s also focused on songwriting and production as he prepares to return to performing his own original music. His debut single, ‘Zindagi Meri’, which he sang and composed, was released with Merchant Records (the label led by Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant). He studied at pointblank between 2019–2020, and in July 2024, returned to pointblank London in person to focus on ‘The Art of Mixing’ and ‘Sound Engineering’ modules – proof that growth doesn’t stop; it deepens.
ASIAN BRAT
ASIAN BRAT brings the kind of energy that lifts a room, and 2025 has been a year of serious acceleration. After graduating in June 2025 from our BA (Hons) Music Production & DJ Performance degree, she’s been building a live profile that keeps expanding, one stage at a time. A huge part of that growth has been community-led: outside the classroom, she built confidence with Sexy Lady Massive, the UK’s top all-female DJ collective.
Her run of performances already reads like a highlight reel, including Leeds Festival, Wireless, and BOG Bristol, with Boomtown and Warehouse Project on the horizon. Add radio appearances on Rinse FM and Reprezent, and it’s clear she’s building a path with both style and direction.
Jake Warren
Jake Warren is one of those talents who makes you pause when you hear what he’s been up to. After graduating from pointblank London, he caught an early break scoring a TV commercial through a student competition. Leaning into his speciality, Jake focused on music for film, TV, advertising, and trailers, building a creative identity that travels across formats while staying unmistakably his.
His work has since been featured across major networks and platforms, including HBO, Netflix, CBS, Hulu, and FX, with placements spanning shows such as Love Island, Grey’s Anatomy, and American Horror Story. That range speaks volumes: he can match tone, amplify emotion, and support story; whether it’s glossy, gritty, tender, or tense. He’s also created campaigns for major names like Versace, Adidas, and London Fashion Week, moving smoothly between screen worlds and cultural moments.
Klaudijus Rimeikis
Klaudijus Rimeikis represents a kind of success built on consistency: showing up, staying sharp, and delivering under pressure. After graduating from pointblank with a BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering, he stepped into professional environments where precision is the baseline. Since then, he’s worked with leading artists and venues, building experience in spaces that demand calm problem-solving and reliable ears night after night.
A major highlight has been his work on the audio team at Hï Ibiza, ranked the #1 club in the world. During the 2025 Ibiza season alone, Klaudijus mixed over 100 shows for 200+ DJs – a schedule that tests both technical skill and endurance. He’s also worked at one of London’s most iconic venues, Ministry of Sound, further proving his ability to deliver in legendary rooms with uncompromising standards. With independent projects lined up for next year, he’s continuing to build steadily. We can’t wait to see what he brings to the next season.
Marcus Siu
Marcus Siu’s story feels like a studio dream, but it’s the work behind it that makes it shine. A recording and mixing engineer based in East London, Marcus became part of the team at the prestigious Abbey Road Studios. After graduating from pointblank with a BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering degree, he quickly found his place there, spending almost two years learning by doing in one of the world’s most respected spaces.
During his time at Abbey Road, Marcus ran and assisted sessions alongside world-class engineers and producers, supporting composers including Alexandre Desplat, Yu-Peng Chen, and Kris Bowers, as well as sessions for artists such as Sam Smith, Dave, and Accusefive.
If there’s one thing this Wrapped makes clear, it’s that pointblank success isn’t one sound, one genre, or one pathway. It’s the shared thread of people committing to their growth; then using what they’ve learned to create, lead, and contribute in the real world. This year’s stories span wellness and inclusivity wins, marketing leadership, classical roots and debut releases, festival stages, world-class club mixing, major screen placements, and legendary studio sessions.
