Soundtoys has announced the release of an update to its audio plugins. Version 5.5.2 of the Soundtoys collection comes with various new features, improvements, and fixes.
The SpaceBlender experimental reverb is now fully integrated into Effect Rack, and all plugins now comes with resizable user interfaces.
Create immersive environments, rich ambiences, and otherworldly spatial effects by layering unique reverb textures with your favorite Soundtoys plug-ins. To get you started, we’ve added 67 new Effect Rack presets crafted by our in-house sound design team.
Changes in Soundtoys v5.5.2
- SpaceBlender experimental reverb is now integrated into Effect Rack.
- 67 new Effect Rack presets featuring SpaceBlender.
- Resizable UI for all plug-ins (except Effect Rack).
- Extended maximum delay time of EchoBoy Jr to 15 seconds.
- Extends bottom range of LFO rate in PanMan from 0.1 Hz to 0.01 Hz.
- Updates preset manager assets to be high res.
- Plug-ins now automatically check for version updates.
- Fixed excessive cpu usage with tempo automation in SpaceBlender.
- Fixes crash that could happen at startup in DAWs that connect to the internet.
- Fixes possible pops on instantiation in FilterFreak 1+2, and Crystallizer.
- Fixes crash when clicking on string controls on Windows in Cubase.
- Fixes possible memory leaks in all plug-ins.
- Known Issue: On Mac only, plug-ins may exhibit small user interface artifacts at certain scale factors, mostly in Pro Tools. Investigation into this issue is ongoing.
- Known Issue: In the VST3 and AAX versions of Effect Rack, automatable parameters may sometimes display their names in the host as “Unassigned”. Reading, writing, and recalling automation data remains fully functional. Investigation into this issue is ongoing.
- Known Issue: For parameters that have had their ranges change (PanMan rate LFO and EchoBoy Jr’s EchoTime), this may change the sound of sessions that automate these parameters. If no automation is used on these parameters, sessions should recall correctly.
