Snoop Dogg has shared some humbling thoughts on Kendrick Lamar calling him out over his perceived support of Drake‘s AI-assisted diss track, “Taylor Made Freestyle.”
Stopping by The Breakfast Club this week, Tha Doggfather addressed whether he and K.Dot had spoken following the release of “wacced out murals,” a track taken from Kendrick’s GNX album which hears him spit: “Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles/I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”
“That’s my lil’ homie. He spoke his mind,” Snoop told host Charlamagne Tha God around the 14:35 mark of the video below before admitting that “as an older guy” sometimes he doesn’t “have radar” on what he’s doing.
“We family,” he explained. “You can’t have a spat or misunderstanding with your brother, your cousin? That’s how it supposed to be. It ain’t supposed to get no bigger than that, it’s supposed to be… understood. What’s understood don’t need to be explained.”

Snoop Dogg continued: “See, a big dawg can get checked if it’s by the right person, if he’s got the right intellect. There’s nothing wrong with properly being put in place, if you’re outta place. That’s what’s wrong with half of us, that we feel like the young generation can’t tell us nothing. You used to be young, too, and you had a mind and you had a spirit, and sometimes the young generation can teach the old dog a new trick, if he willing to listen.”
It’s not the first time Snoop has address Kendrick’s bars on “wacced out murals.” Shortly after the release of GNX, he took to X to promote the album, adding: “It was the edibles west west king.”
On “Taylor Made Freestyle,” Drake used AI technology to take shots at K.Dot, rapping verses using the voices of both Snoop Dogg and 2Pac. The track was eventually under threat of a lawsuit by Pac’s estate—but not before Snoop reacted to it on Instagram.
“They did what? When? How? Are you sure? [Sigh] Y’all have a good night,” he said in a quick video. “Why everybody calling my phone, blowing me up? What the fuck— what happened? What’s going on? I’m going back to bed. Good night.”
