Ahead of the kickoff of Diddy’s trial in New York, a hearing was held on Friday (April 25) focused on various motions, including one about an unspecified “medical procedure” undergone by an alleged, unnamed victim. Per a report from TMZ, as well as realtime updates from Matthew Russell of Inner City Press on X, prosecutors are arguing that Diddy may have forced the alleged victim in question to have a medical procedure.
While the exact nature of this alleged procedure was not clarified, prosecutors did say Friday that it was “related” to the sex trafficking accusations against the Bad Boy Records founder.
Also on Friday, an effort from Diddy’s legal team to have alleged 2016 surveillance footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie excluded from the proceedings was denied. Per Deadline, a would-be plea deal was also mentioned in court on Friday, though terms of that rejected agreement were not disclosed.
Complex has reached out to Diddy’s legal team for comment. This story may be updated.

Jury selection in Diddy’s trial is slated to begin on May 5, while opening arguments are set to start one week later on May 12. Diddy has denied the allegations against him in the case.
In response to news of a superseding indictment in March, to which Diddy pleaded not guilty, his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said in a statement to Complex and other media outlets that his client “vehemently denies” the claims against him.
“Mr. Combs has said it before and will say it again: he vehemently denies the accusations made by the SDNY,” Agnifilo said via email last month. “He looks forward to his day in court when it will become clear that he has never forced anyone to engage in sexual acts against their will. Many former employees stand by his side, prepared to attest to the dedication, hard work, and inspiration they experienced while helping build groundbreaking, award-winning businesses.”
