UVI’s flagship hybrid instrument, Falcon 3, is currently 50% off at AudioDeluxe, bringing the price down to $149 until July 15.
Considering the insane amount of synthesis firepower that Falcon 3 offers, I think this is a killer deal. That’s especially true if you’re still looking for a workhorse synthesizer for your setup.
UVI Falcon has long been one of those synths that tries—and mostly succeeds—to do it all. It does everything from sampling and synthesis to scripting and modulation.
It’s basically a creative sandbox for sound designers and synth lovers, packed with potential and almost unlimited features.
Version 3 builds on that legacy with even more oscillators (20 in total), over 100 effects, and advanced sequencing tools like Node Arp and Motion Grid.
The first time I opened Falcon, it reminded me of Photoshop for synth heads. It has tons of depth, and it’s somewhat intimidating at first, but incredibly rewarding once you get the hang of it.
The interface can be a maze, sure, but the semi-modular approach means you can sculpt sounds at an almost microscopic level. And with tools like multi-segment envelopes, Lua scripting, and full MPE support, it’s as much a modular laboratory as it is a musical instrument.
New to v3 are oscillators like VOSIM (vintage vocal synthesis), Bowed String, and Harmonic Resonators. Each of these offers a fresh palette of textures for sound designers seeking inspiration.

On the effects side, I really like the Opal compressor, Ladder filter, and the surprisingly versatile Dispersor transient shaper. You really don’t need to use third-party effects to get exciting sounds out of UVI Falcon.
The library has also grown, with two more expansion packs added to a solid collection of 24 and 1,500 factory presets to get you going. The redesigned browser with preview audio is a big usability win, too.
Falcon isn’t cheap at its regular $299 price tag, but at $149, it’s honestly one of the best bang-for-buck instruments around, as long as you’re willing to climb the learning curve. And with the included $50 voucher for UVI expansions, you can extend it even further to suit your style.

UVI Falcon 3 runs on macOS 10.14 or later and Windows 10 or later, supporting VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats. Activation is handled through iLok, but no dongle is required.
If you’re into deep sound design and want a single plugin that can take you from classic analog emulations to bleeding-edge granular and physical modeling synthesis, Falcon 3 at this price is hard to beat.
