Stem Splitter by Eldoraudio is a new online stem separation service that is available for free use.
The service is currently in its open public beta stage, after which, the developer expects to launch a paid plan with premium features (longer audio files, higher quality output, etc.).
The good news is that, even when a paid plan becomes available, the free version will remain available, which is always a good deal.

The Stem Splitter is straightforward; you drag and drop your audio file, wait a couple of minutes for the separation, and then download your stems.
Your download comes as a zip file, and once extracted, you’ll have six individual stems: piano, vocals, drums, bass, guitar, and other.
Stem separation tools like this one or LALAL.AI are often a mixed bag of results, so I was keen to find out how Eldoraudio’s offering performs.
I was quietly optimistic because Eldoraudio’s recent piano audio-to-MIDI converter was surprisingly good.
Again, I have a similar conclusion; while the results are mixed, depending on the source, it’s surprisingly good.
I tried a variety of audio files, ranging from cheesy pop music to jazz fusion, and Stem Splitter performed relatively well across the board.
There was no discernible pattern of a particular stem being universally good or bad (although drums were very consistent).
However, I got some excellent vocal stems, particularly from pop music, which is ideal for remixes.
Some synth bass content came out a little muddy, but one of the best results I got was pulling a Rocco Palladino bass part from a Yussef Deyes track.
The bass track occasionally has issues with notes breaking up, so it’s not clean enough to use elsewhere in its entirety, but some parts are pristine. More importantly, it provides an excellent way to learn a complex bassline.
Aside from creating remixes or karaoke tracks, using stems to learn and practice parts is a great way to utilize services like Stem Splitter.
