Cardi B has made it a point to let people know that she’ll be “outside” this summer — just like her new single.
The rollout for the rapper’s long-awaited album, Am I the Drama?, has begun after weeks of the Grammy winner going public with her new boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The rapper is estranged from — and plans to divorce — her husband of eight years, former Migos member Offset, with whom she shares three children.
To celebrate her new era and launch the new chocolate-flavored Whipshots, Cardi played bartender at New York City’s Serendipity 3 on Thursday (June 26), where she spoke to People about her summer plans.
Cardi called Serendipity 3 “so cute,” “so adorable” and “perfect for a date,” although Diggs wasn’t present for the occasion. But the rapper still had the NFL star in mind when it comes to summer fun.
“I’m going to be shaking ass, drinking Whipshots,” she said. “I’m gonna be outside, but I’m gonna be outside with a partner, so that’s what I’m gonna say.”
This month marks six months since Cardi and Diggs started dating, and the “Bodak Yellow” rapper can’t help but brag about her new beau, especially after he recently surprised her with a castle stay in France.
Meanwhile, Offset, who’s requested spousal support amid his divorce from Cardi, now has his sights on Sabrina Carpenter, who he gushed about during the inaugural episode of Complex‘s Interview With A Magician.
During the episode, which saw Offset have his mind blown by magician Anna DeGuzman, the Atlanta rapper admitted he was a mix of both a romantic and a heartbreaker.
When pressed for more information, Offset opened up about his romantic side, revealing one of the most romantic things that he’s ever done. “Just deliver flowers for no celebration, for just no reason,” he revealed.
Offset also detailed his rose petal use; he loves to use them for a partner, but he doesn’t want to be the person to lay them out. “I’m going to pay somebody to do it, but it’s going to get done,” he said.
