I’ve always thought Leviathan’s strongest point is, surprisingly, its versatility. Sure, Black Octopus Sound leans toward the heavier electronic genres, but these sounds also work far beyond the territory of EDM bangers.
The FX, like risers, impacts, and atmospheres, can glue your transitions together in a variety of genres. And that’s exactly what you get with this freebie: impacts, risers, solid snares, loops, and percussion that layer nicely without being overly smashed.
You also get a bunch of polished drums that don’t require tons of processing and epic bass sounds with tons of attitude. And if you’re new to production, a starter pack like this is a fantastic way to start producing without spending hours downloading or (even worse) browsing folders instead of making music.
Of course, this free bundle is meant to tempt you toward the full Leviathan or even the giant Anthology bundle, which is absolutely massive. But even if you don’t plan to grab the bigger packs, Best of Leviathan is worth downloading before the Black Friday window closes.
