Bhad Bhabie wants everyone to know that a report of her owing over half a million dollars in credit card debt in a lawsuit filed by American Express are simply not true.
Following a recent report from People claiming that the rapper is being sued for alleged unpaid credit card charges by the company, she refuted the allegations as false in a statement to The Shade Room.
According to court documents filed on Wednesday, July 2, in Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by the outlet, American Express is suing Bhad Bhabie for $674,452.40 over claims that she breached a credit agreement by not making payments.
“Shit not true. Where do they get this shit from?” she told The Shade Room in response to the report.
According to court docs, American Express claimed that they agreed to extend credit to the rapper, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, on April, 21 2021. However, she allegedly stopped making payments around Dec. 19, 2024. The company is reportedly seeking damages for breach of contract and claims she owes the balance in full.
“Plaintiff extended credit to Defendant for purchases and/or cash advances by Defendants and/or persons acting with Defendants’ permission on the American Express account XXXX‑XXXX‑X5000 (the “Account”),” the filing reads. “Defendant promised to repay Plaintiff for all charges, fees, and interest on the Account by paying the balance in full every month or by making monthly payments.”
