Reason 13 is the latest version of the popular DAW from Reason Studios, and it’s available with a massive 60% discount for a limited time. The special offer at AudioDeluxe ends on September 29, 2025. The discount reduces Reason 13 from $499 to $199, which is pretty epic. I can see that there’s also a discount if you buy directly from Reason Studios. However, if you add the promo code FALL10 to your AudioDeluxe cart before checking out, you’ll get an additional 10% off the sale price of $199. Your final price at AudioDeluxe is $179.10. Also, you get a…
Music production feels messy. Too many tools, too many steps, too much noise. But every great song comes from a hidden map—a structure that breaks the work into clear phases. Once you follow it, your path turns from chaos to clarity. Step 1: Recognize the Overwhelm You’re not alone. Many producers feel lost because: There are so many tools, sounds, and plugins to master. Every new tutorial reveals more complex concepts. You can’t decide where to to start, so everything stalls. Confusion only enters the picture when there’s no roadmap. Once you understand that the process has natural stages, everything…

Occult Audio has released Obscura, a free virtual instrument for macOS and Windows designed for creating dark, evolving soundscapes. Obscura is a fun sample-based plugin built around a minimal interface and ten atmospheric drones. This marks Occult Audio’s first plugin that doesn’t require Kontakt or Kontakt Player, so there are basically no limitations to running it in your DAW. Before we proceed, I would like to note that the download requires the Pulse Downloader to be installed on your computer. So if you don’t have it already, that’s an extra step needed to get Obscura for free. The instrument features…
Sick Noise Instruments has released NoizeBreaker, a sci-fi-inspired SFX library for Kontakt (full version required), and it’s available for FREE for a limited time via Pluginomat. NoizeBreaker is packed with over 200 futuristic sound effects designed for trailers, video games, and various electronic music genres (although mainly Datsik-style dubstep comes to mind for sounds like these). It includes a large selection of robotic footsteps, glitchy impacts, and all manner of cinematic-inspired chaos. If you’re working on high-energy electronic music or anything that leans into this style of cinematic audio, the library is definitely a fun one to throw into your…
Apogee Electronics has released Clearmountain Dance, a $29 delay plugin for macOS and Windows that recreates the chaotic stereo delay Bob Clearmountain accidentally stumbled upon during the mixing of David Bowie’s Let’s Dance. Clearmountain Dance is the latest entry in the Clearmountain plugin series, offering an inspiring delay effect packed into a conveniently compact form factor. I’ve always been a fan of creative effects inspired by specific songs, artists, or albums. They give your tracks a stylistic identity and a starting point that can lead to some really fun experimentation. Clearmountain Dance is exactly that kind of plugin. It doesn’t…
Surge Synth Team OB-Xf is a continuation of the free and open-source OB-Xd synth project. If you’re not familiar with the original open-source OB-Xd synth plugin by 2DaT, the name should give away the inspiration behind the project. The inspiration, of course, was one of the most sought-after vintage synthesizers, the Oberheim OB-X (1979). discoDSP took over the original 2DaT OB-Xd project a few years ago, and it spawned a €99 premium version. It’s common for free synths to have a paid big brother, but attaching a paid version to an established freebie doesn’t always go down well with the…
