A former assistant of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs testified that she was “saved” by her then-boss in a nightmare involving R. Kelly.
To start the fourth week of Diddy’s racketeering conspiracy trial, his ex-assistant, using the pseudonym ‘Mia,’ was asked to recount text interactions she had with the music mogul — including one particular message from January, 2019.
One of Diddy’s attorneys, Brian Steel, asked Mia to read the text. Prior to being on Diddy’s criminal defense team, Steel represented Young Thug in his RICO trial, and even has a Drake song named after him.
In the text, Mia wrote: “Just thinking of you today and every day. Also no lie, last night I had a nightmare I was trapped in an elevator with R. Kelly and I screamed for you and you came to rescue me. So thank you for that too. Sending you love.”
“So the person who you told the ladies and gentlemen of the jury terrorized you and caused you PTSD, you wrote to that person and explained how that person saved you from [R. Kelly]?” Steel asked, referencing Mia’s testimony last week about the multiple alleged instances in which Diddy sexually assaulted her.

Throughout her testimony, Mia repeated that she had been “brainwashed” by Diddy during her eight-year tenure as his employee.
Diddy and R. Kelly collaborated on the 1999 song “Satisfy You,” nearly 20 years before the disgraced R&B singer-songwriter was sentenced to 30 years in prison for racketeering and sex trafficking. Kelly will also serve 20 years concurrently for producing child pornography and the enticement of minors.
In the docuseries The Fall of Diddy, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Kat Pasion claimed that the rapper-producer once said that there’s a part of Kelly “in all of us,” per Page Six.
Those previously close to Diddy, including his ex-girlfriend, Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura and another former assistant, Capricorn Clark, delivered shocking testimonies in earlier weeks of the federal trial. If convicted, the Bad Boy Entertainment founder faces up to life in prison.
