Plughugger has released a new soundset for the Serum 2 software synthesizer from Xfer Records.
Based on sounds and waveforms from the Dreadbox Erebus analog synthesizer and the Supersaw / Hypersaw waveform from the Virus TI synthesizer, Analog Echoes: Angel of Darkness contains a collection of 148 presets.
To bring out different sonic angles of the Erebus and the Virus TI, the presets in the soundsets were designed around three distinct genres in mind: old analog vintage, edm & modern pop, and atmospheric ambient.
All of the sounds also come in a special Low CPU variation, making sure anyone with an older computer will be able to use the sounds. In general terms, these sounds are using less unison, faster release envelopes, shorter reverbs and delays and less polyphony.
