UJAM is offering UFX DELAY as a free download for anyone who signs up for the company’s summer sale mailing list.
To get it for free, you’ll need to visit the signup page and enter your email. I tested the process yesterday, and the email arrived right away. Clicking the button in the email opened UJAM’s store, showing a 100% discount coupon for UFX DELAY.
I’ve always liked UJAM’s plugins. They have this fun approach with many of their instruments and Finisher effects, where you get ready-made sounds or multi-effect chains that you can apply quickly instead of building everything from scratch.
UFX DELAY is a bit different because it gives you more direct access to the individual delay controls, but it still has that UJAM flavor thanks to the built-in Filter and Finisher sections. If you are bored with standard delay plugins, this one has more color and is more fun to use.
I mainly find plugins like this inspirational when I am stuck or looking for new automation ideas. Effects with built-in multi-effects sometimes help me discover FX combinations I wouldn’t come up with on my own, but I also enjoy simply automating different Finisher modes to add some interest to sounds.
UFX DELAY includes 20 delay modes, ranging from basic echoes to more creative options. The list includes Clean, Doubling, Digital, Dirty, Tape, Low Bandwidth, Warm, Diffuse, Grain, Random Pitch, Oct Up, Oct Down, several filter-based modes, and rhythmic modes like Flam, Ricochet, Staccato Boost, and Sequencer.
The main delay section gives you controls for time, sync, spread, and delay type, with mono, stereo, and ping-pong behavior depending on the selected mode. The Character section adds feedback, damping, and modulation, while the Ducking control helps keep the dry signal clear by reducing the wet delay when the input is loud.
The Filter section includes 40 options, covering practical tone shaping and more creative processing. The Finisher section adds 50 multi-effect modes, including ambiance, modulation, glitch, pitch, lo-fi, and rhythmic effects.
UJAM also includes more than 150 presets and an intelligent randomization feature called Surprise. The randomization can create anything from small variations to completely new delay setups, while leaving the Mix control untouched.
UFX DELAY is installed and authorized through the UJAM App. It comes in VST, AU, and AAX formats for compatible DAWs on Windows and macOS.
