Dreamtonics has released three new Choir Voice Collections for use within Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro, alongside a free version 2.2.0 update for the software.
After two years of development and recording, the new Choir Voice Collections bring a total of three virtual choir voices to the platform.
Each collection contains 16 individual voices (four per voice part), and all three are built using a hybrid modeling approach that combines deep learning with spatial signal processing.
The goal was to go beyond simply layering multiple solo voices on separate tracks. Dreamtonics recorded full choir sections using a microphone array, dissected the recordings into individual soloists while retaining the choral timbre, and then rebuilt a controllable model that scales from a single soloist to a 16-member ensemble.
One interesting discovery during development was that individual choir singers, when recorded in isolation, tend to sing with loose timing and pitch. Put them back together, and the result snaps into place convincingly.
The three collections are tailored to fit a variety of music styles.
Collection 1 features Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass voices suited to gospel, worship, pop, R&B, soul, and electronic music.
Collection 2 features Soprano, Mezzo-Soprano, Tenor, and Baritone voices aimed at classical, operatic, and cinematic scoring.
Collection 3 covers Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass voices geared toward folk, bluegrass, acoustic, and world music. All three collections support six languages: English, Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, Cantonese, and Korean.
Each collection comes with an intuitive set of controls for shaping the ensemble. You can scale the number of singers from one soloist to sixteen, adjust pitch and timing coherency to dial in tightness or lushness, and fine-tune consonant articulation, brightness, and legato.
When reduced to a single singer per voice part, the model yields four distinct solo voices per part, which can serve as lead vocals or counter-melodies.
The free version 2.2.0 update adds several useful features alongside choir support. A new Unison section lets you build an ensemble of up to 16 voices within a single track, with a Spacing parameter for stereo separation without manually managing multiple panned tracks.

A new Effects Panel provides a streamlined EQ, compression, and reverb chain for quick previewing and pre-production. Room Sound Simulation models spatial positioning and sound wave reflections, adding a natural sense of space and depth to ensemble performances.
Additional additions include musical scale visualization in the piano roll, MusicXML import support, and a Render Cache that reduces memory usage and improves project loading times.
To celebrate the launch, Dreamtonics is offering 20% off all Choir Voice Collections until February 28, 2026. The Choir Voice Collections require Synthesizer V Studio 2 Pro.
