2B Played Music is offering SlimVerb and Delayed Classic plugins as FREE downloads with the code HOLIDAY25 until December 15, 2025.
Both plugins have been free in the past, so if you missed those earlier chances, now’s a good time to add them to your toolbox at no cost. SlimVerb was covered as a freebie on BPB in 2024, and 2B Delayed Classic was free earlier this year.
Both plugins are worth a look, especially while they’re available for free.
SlimVerb is a streamlined reverb derived from the developer’s PrimeVerb engine. It focuses on giving you direct control over reverb size, pre-delay, and stereo width, while keeping the interface quick to navigate.
You can shape the tonality with dedicated low and high EQ knobs, manage the decay with damping, and clean things up using a high-pass filter. There’s also an analog drive option that introduces subtle saturation when you want a bit more character in the tail.
What I like most about it is the clean design. All of the essential reverb controls are on one screen, so dialing in shorter room reflections or larger, more spacious reverbs is fast. Another plus is the mid/side width control, which helps you fit the reverb into your mix without cluttering it.
Delayed Classic covers the other side of the time-based spectrum. It’s a stereo delay with independent left and right timings, feedback control, filtering, and optional distortion and reverb. That combination makes it suitable for anything from a basic slapback to more rhythmic echoes.
If you want to shape repeats more precisely, you get LP and HP filters, plus resonance control for more pronounced feedback tones. The distortion adds harmonic grit when needed, and the Lush control introduces an onboard reverb for extra depth.
