During an appearance on Watch What Happens with Andy Cohen, Rose Byrne was quizzed about her experience shooting the 2005 drama The Tenants and revealed what her co-star Snoop Dogg gifted her when the movie wrapped.
Joined by her Platonic co-stars Seth Rogen and Luke Macfarlane, the three actors played a game of Spill the IMDB Tea, in which they were asked to rate the experience of shooting a random project of their career. After giving her time shooting the much-maligned 2014 Annie remake a ten out of ten, which she worked on with her husband Bobby Cannavale, she was asked about The Tenants, which she starred in opposite Snoop.
“So, he gave me the biggest blunt at the end of the shoot,” she said. “And I didn’t smoke it. I was too scared.” She gestured to Rogen and admitted she didn’t know him at the time, and he said it was a “smart” idea not to smoke it. “For that story, I give it a ten,” she added.
Byrne currently stars in Platonic, which is airing its second season on Apple TV+. She’s got a number of other exciting projects on the horizon, too, including the drama Tow, and If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. She’s the lead in that movie and stars opposite a cast that includes Conan O’Brien, Danielle Macdonald, Christian Slater, and ASAP Rocky. Her performance in the film has already earned her the Silver Bear award for Best Leading Performance at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival.
Perhaps her friendship with Seth Rogen makes her more well-equipped to smoke any gift blunts if ASAP Rocky gave her one when that project wrapped.
