On the last date of his tour at the Prudential Center in Newark this past week, Tyler, the Creator was met with boos from the audience after he jokingly admitted he knows nothing about New Jersey.
In a viral clip taken during one of his performances at the Prudential Center, as seen below, Tyler paused between tracks to address the audience. “Ay, what the fuck be going in New Jersey, n***a,” he said. “The only thing I know is, I think that n***a Joe Budden lives here or some shit? Like, what the fuck y’all n***as be doing here?”
Tyler noticed a fan yell out, “We party,” and he playfully mocked them.
“If I may say, I don’t know shit about New Jersey,” he said, which was met with playful boos from the stadium. “So, y’all boo me because I don’t know shit about where the fuck y’all wake up from? N***a, that’s y’all motherfucking fault. See, I was about give y’all a compliment and shit. No, bitch, now you can’t get the compliment. The fuck? Ugh. Now I gotta think about if I’ma say the fucking compliment the rest of the damn show. Ohhh, now you’re sorry, now you’re sorry! Suck my fucking dick, fuck you. Stupid-ass bitches.”

Tyler just wrapped up a tour in support of his 2024 album Chromakopia, but he also found the time to work on and release a new album before the tour came to a close. He dropped Don’t Tap the Glass last month, which he recently revealed he worked on while touring.
“I’m sorry, I’m not doing the Don’t Tap the Glass album,” he said, which was met with boos. “Boo me, boo me, bitch. I like being booed.” He took a moment to sign a fan’s vinyl sleeve of Don’t Tap the Glass and said that he thinks “New Jersey is lit.” That statement rang hollow, as he surprised the crowd with several songs from Don’t Tap the Glass the following night.
