This offer from Plugin Boutique isn’t the first time we’ve seen SampleTank 4 Max heavily discounted. At the end of last year, the flagship collection was available for just $30 through Humble Bundle.
But I think there are a few important facts that often get lost in translation when large collections are discounted.
If you were to purchase each component of SampleTank 4 Max individually, the total list price would exceed $2000!
Yet, the regular bundle price is a few hundred dollars. Saving around two grand sounds amazing, but it also puts some people off.

SampleTank 4 MAX includes all 36 SampleTank products, as well as legacy content from previous versions.
The collection also features built-in effects, a revamped modulation matrix, and a dedicated layer interface. The layer interface makes a difference; if there’s one area where IK Multimedia historically received criticism, it’s installers and interfaces.
However, the layer interface makes it easy to create custom patches or splits for both live and studio performance.
You also get so many sounds that you’re covered for almost any style of composition. Some of the standouts are American Acoustic, Terry Bozzio (who doesn’t love Terry’s iconic solo on Zappa’s Baby Snakes?), and Alan Parsons Imperial Grand.
