Coldplay might be in viral heaven right now due to the two high-profile fans who were caught canoodling at their concert, but the person responsible for capturing the moment would also like her flowers.
The viral clip’s sustaining power showed no signs of burning out on Friday (July 18), with a purported statement by the Astronomer CEO involved in the moment being debunked as a fake.
Now, reported comments on the footage’s existence straight from the person said to have been responsible for capturing it have been shared.

A viral video captured two Coldplay show attendees whose apparent would-be moment of romance came to a grinding halt once they found themselves broadcast to the stadium via fan cam. As the two made their swift but awkward separation from each other’s arms, Coldplay singer Chris Martin jokingly addressed the awkwardness in an aside to the Boston crowd.
“Oh, look at these two,” he said. “Alright, come on. You’re okay. Oh, what? Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.”
As of this writing, neither individual appears to have offered up an official statement. Meanwhile, on X, far too many people were temporarily convinced that the CEO of Astronomer, a company that’s been caught up in social media speculation surrounding the viral clip, had issued an apology while quoting Coldplay’s 2005 X&Y hit “Fix You.” The company confirmed to TMZ that the statement was a fake.
What about the person who filmed the viral clip of the Coldplay-loving canoodlers?
The original clip is credited to @instaagraace on TikTok, where it’s stacked up tens of millions of views. A video shared Friday to the same account was captioned “returning to TikTok after breaking the internet, destroying multiple careers, and ruining two marriages.”
In another TikTok update, the user urged those visiting her profile in light of the Coldplay clip to consider helping her with student loan payments.
“You’re all so welcome for today’s entertainment,” she wrote. “Want to show your gratitude? Help me, who is just a girl, pay off $80,000 in student loans!”
A report on Friday from the U.S. version of The Sun, included quotes attributed to the TikTok user in question, identified as Grace Springer. According to Springer, no one at the show was aware of who, exactly, the two canoodlers were.
“A part of me feels bad for turning these people’s lives upside down, but, play stupid games, win stupid prizes,” Springer reportedly said, adding that she hopes “their partners can heal from this” and move forward. She also shared her wishes for the video’s ultimate impact.
“I hope, for them, my video was a blessing in disguise,” she added.
