Echograin has announced the release of a major upgrade to its powerful wavetable synthesizer instrument inspired by the Ensoniq Fizmo.
Version 2 of Tranzwave comes with various improvements to the sample library for Kontakt and the free Kontakt Player.
This was a long process with a lot of trial and error. I wanted to bring it closer to what inspired it in the first place – the Fizmo – while also making it more flexible and fun to use.
Changes in Tranzwave 2
- 8 macro controls; 5 are freely assignable, each with up to 16 targets. One knob can now completely shift the sound. This is a quiet nod to the 5 macro knobs on the original Fizmo.
- 100+ Impulse Responses were captured from the Fizmo’s FX section, now part of the IR module inside Tranzwave.
- New Modulation Oscillator (FM, PM, Ringmod & more) adds more room to experiment and explore unusual timbres.
- Polyphonic aftertouch support — per-note pressure for expressive modulation.
- Monark filters with gain, feedback, and FM — analog-style tone shaping.
- Tune quantization, interval-based pitch shifts in both directions.
- Oscillator output routing & keyrange, assign keyzones and audio outputs per oscillator.
- Spread link & link relative mode, link params like a fan or preserve their delta.
- 2nd Form Mode, expanded waveshaping algorithms.
- LFO pxlsewidths for square shape, step-sequencer and gate-style modulation
- Main settings view for full control in one place.
- Tab switching offers faster UI navigation.
- Randomization settings for FX, arp, and parameters.
- Glide Mode.
- New FX: Skreamer Deluxe, Reverb Delight, Chainsaw, Kolor, Beat Masher, Gater, Reverse Grain, Transpose Stretch.
- RepUka Delay now with new extra modes.
- Two arp patterns, edge note, octave extend, interval, keyrange, and randomizable arps.
The update is free to existing users, while new customers can purchase Tranzwave at a 20% discount for a limited time (regular €49 EUR ex. VAT where applicable).
