The third night of Drake’s headlining slot at Wireless Fest has been full of surprises.
On Sunday night (July 13), the Toronto artist continued his pattern of bringing out a slew of unexpected artists by sharing the stage with Rema, as the Nigerian artist performed for a shocked crowd.
Immediately after Rema, the legendary Vybz Kartel hopped onstage to a raucous audience reception.
Drizzy also teased an upcoming collaboration with Central Cee, playing a snippet of it for the crowd.
Drake’s final night at Wireless Fest caps off a weekend of huge musical moments that ranged from drinking to a crowd chant of “Fuck Kendrick,” to hitting the stage with UK and American rap legends.
On the second night of the show, he brought out Skepta, Central Cee, Fakemink, and Dave to perform. Renaming his set Drake & Mandem because of his guest stars, Drake told everyone watching that, ‘“No disrespect to America, but nobody in the world can out‑rap London rappers.”
Despite that comment, he brought out U.S.-based artists like Sexxy Red, 21 Savage and, most notably, Vanessa Carlton, who performed her oft-sampled and remixed “A Thousand Miles.”
On the first night of Wireless Fest, Drake brought out Lauryn Hill, Bryson Tiller, Giveon, and Mario.
This year, Drake allowed streamers like Adin Ross and BenDaDonnn stream from his show to create several now viral clips about the entire experience. He’s fresh off the release of his new single, “What Did I Miss?”
