Although unprepared to reveal her separation from Dwight Howard, reality television personality and rapper Amy Luciani has confirmed the news.
On Tuesday (July 8), TMZ reported that the Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star filed for a divorce on July 1 in Georgia, citing that her marriage with Howard being “irretrievably broken.” Luciani added that “there are no prospects for reconciliation” with her husband of six months.
In addition to requesting alimony, Luciani asked that marital assets and property be “equitably divided.” As reports about the divorce filing surfaced, Luciani broke her silence on Tuesday, telling The Shade Room that she was “not sure how it got out to the public.”
“Still wrapping my head around a lot,” she continued. “Although I know it won’t happen, I hope the public can give us grace and privacy right now.”

Dwight, who has five children from previous relationships, appeared on The Breakfast Club last month, and around the 22-minute mark, said he wanted to keep their marriage “private.”
Last December, the now-estranged couple announced their engagement, with a since-deleted Instagram reel of Luciani flaunting her engagement ring.
“I was enjoying you so much out of the public eye but here we are,” she captioned the post.
