Diddy‘s former personal chef said she’s been left “terrified” following the outcome of the disgraced music mogul’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial.
In a series of videos shared on Instagram, as reported by TMZ, chef Jourdan Atkinson said she fears for her safety because of the verdict. Diddy was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, but was found guilty on two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Atkinson claims she was a witness to and subjected to Diddy’s allegedly abusive behavior while employed by him. In the video, she alleged that she witnessed Diddy assault Cassie on multiple occasions.
“I would just like to say, that this is a grave miscarriage of justice,” she said, detailing a visit from federal authorities in March last year, followed by a phone call from Diddy’s lawyers who she accused of witness tampering.
“As a victim, as a former employee of Sean Combs, I do not feel safe,” she continued. “I am extremely traumatised, I do not know where to go from here.”
In the caption, she claimed that she was assaulted by Diddy in 2008 at his estate in New Jersey, something that was addressed by the Bad Boy Records founder’s former assistant, David James. “His Assault against me has never been denied,” she added. “When I found out about the 2009 beating of Cassie my life was threatened. And I was told to keep my mouth shut.”
She wrote that she believed she would be “unalived” if she told anyone about his alleged abusive behavior towards Cassie. “HE SPENT YEARS BEATING HER!” she wrote. “I hope he gets the full 20yrs at the very least! But I am not holding my breath. I am not okay. I have not been okay. I do not feel safe. … I stand with Cassie, as I always have.”
Shortly after the verdict was announced, Deonte Nash, a former stylist for Diddy, told a judge that she felt “compelled to be unequivocal about the danger [Diddy] poses to the public.”
She said that she has “grave concern” about Diddy being released on bail while he awaits sentencing, something that Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas H. Wigdor, also echoed in a letter in opposition to his release.
Diddy has been denied bail despite attempts from his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, to have him released on a $1 million bond.
