Jeezy fans weren’t too far off in thinking that the rapper was flirting with Nia Long during their 2023 interview, seen below.
Jeezy was a guest on radio program The Breakfast Club on Wednesday (June 11) and was asked whether he was trying to “holla” at Long. The conversation occurred months after the two split from their respective partners: Jeezy from now-ex-wife Jeannie Mai and Long from Ime Udoka.
“They wasn’t lying,” Jeezy said around the 25-minute mark of the video above about those who assumed he was shooting his shot at Long. The rapper also stood by his statement that “real men don’t cheat,” which he said in their interview.
“I’ve never cheated,” he said. “That’s low-hanging fruit. If I’m locked in, I’m locked in. We ain’t got to be married. I’m just not a cheater—I’m not going to cheat my friends. That ain’t in my blood.”
Jeezy admitted that while he was romantically interested in Long, he was trying to be “respectful” during the “hard” interaction while his divorce was being finalized. The ex-spouses were married from 2021 to 2024 and share a three-year-old daughter, Monaco.
Jeezy also said that he would “absolutely” spin the block on Long and that she’s “definitely invited” to attend his TM:101 20th Anniversary Tour.
Earlier in the divorce, Jeezy said that he’s found “peace” with his ex-wife.
“I’m all about understanding. I’m all about what’s best for everybody, the greater good,” he said. “I don’t want no enemies, I don’t want no issues, I just want peace, I just want joy and I just want freedom. I love my freedom.”
