We’re back with another chance to expand your music making toolbox, this time with a creative MIDI plugin.
A modular control ecosystem that allows you to build chains of sequencers, controllers, and utilities, Waymaker is heavily inspired by Aqeel Aadam’s experience with Eurorack modular and building on sequencing paradigms typically only possible in that format.
The plugin provides a variety of innovative ways to craft melodies and spark inspiration.
When serving as a MIDI sequencer, it uses many ideas adapted from eurorack modular to create a completely unique and customizable sequencer. A custom chain of sequencers and sequencing utilities can be combined in numerous ways only possible before in formats like eurorack.
Sequencers can transpose one another, clock one another, reset one another, or spawn new instances of themselves based on input. You can build a custom MIDI generator *or* effect.
Waymaker can also control Aqeel’s other plugins, the Ridgewalk granular looper and Weeping Wall microlooper effect. The unique ecosystem of products allows you to create everything from simple looping delays to dense generative atmospheres.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST3/AU), Waymaker is priced $50 USD.
