It may be a while before we get a taste of Taylor Swift’s upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl. But those who have gotten to hear it already have promised that it’s worth the wait.
In an interview with Extra shared on Sunday, August 17, Zoë Kravitz — who was promoting the upcoming Darren Arnofsky thriller Caught Stealing — revealed that she had “heard bits” of The Life of a Showgirl. “It’s fantastic,” she said.
She continued, offering two more words about the album. And for Swifties, these words say everything they need to know. “No skips,” Kravitz said.
This appeared to take the interviewer by surprise, as he responded, “No skips? That’s rare.” Zoë — who is the daughter of guitarist and instrumentalist Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet — maintained her stance, saying “For her, it’s not.”
Zoë and Swift have a long-standing friendship. In fact, Zoë is credited as a co-producer on Swift’s “Lavender Haze” from her 2022 album Midnights.
Back in January, Zoë stayed in Swift’s home during the fires that devastated Los Angeles earlier this year. In her August 12 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Zoë shared a story about losing her and Bonet’s pet snake at Swift’s home.

According to Zoë, Bonet had found the snake hiding in a hole in the wall next to a banquette in one of Swift’s bathrooms. “I was like, ‘Either we destroy her bathroom or I have to tell her that there’s a snake somewhere in her house.’”
Unfortunately, Zoë and Bonet opted to do the former. Zoë had wanted to keep this a secret and was even willing to pay for the damages, but evidently, Swift’s house manager told her before Zoë had the chance.
“I remember calling her saying, ‘Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something,'” she recalled. “And she was like, ‘Is it the fact that you almost lost a snake in my house and destroyed my bathroom?'”
Thankfully, it seems that everyone was able to have a good laugh over the situation. And there’s no bad blood between them.
Fans can look forward to hearing The Life of a Showgirl in full on Friday, Oct. 3.
