Wiz Khalifa smokes roughly 30 joints a day and says staying high helps him tackle everyday responsibilities with a clear head and steady focus.
The Hip-Hop artist and cannabis entrepreneur opened up about his intense marijuana routine during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he described his daily weed use as a form of mental training.
“Somebody put it a really good way the other day,” Wiz Khalifa told Kimmel. “You smoke and then you just challenge yourself to do normal things throughout the day… I enjoy it.”
Khalifa, who rose to fame in the mid-2000s and has long been associated with weed culture, said his habit started in the studio during his teenage years.
“It was just for music purposes, like, being in the studio and hanging around other musicians it was just the thing to do,” he said. “It kind of became something that, you know, later on in life helped me to get through a lot of things.”
The Pittsburgh native, known for hits like “Black and Yellow” and his collaboration on “Payphone,” emphasized that despite his heavy cannabis intake, he still handles his business and personal life.
“Yeah, yeah, yup,” he said. “I have things to do. I work out – I got kids, so I do a lot of different things.”
Khalifa’s remarks come as marijuana laws continue to evolve across the country. In California, where the interview was filmed, recreational cannabis use is legal for adults 21 and older.
