Things almost went left at a recent Usher concert when the “My Boo” artist tried to feed one of his signature cherries to a woman with a cherry allergy.
Usher’s shows have become known for a sensual sequence in which he feeds cherries to women in the audience who devour them as lustfully as possible.
Usher’s bodyguard seemingly hates the stunt, but fans love it, and the moments often go viral—so Usher keeps feeding cherries to fans whenever he can.
Footage of one of these cherished (pun intended) moments captured Usher locking eyes with a fan, exchanging pleasantries, and attempting to feed her from his bag of cherries.
When he brought the cherries close to his face, the woman tried to alert him of something important, but he couldn’t understand what she was saying.

Naturally, Usher tried again. And again. The woman had to lean even closer to explain what she’d been trying to get him to understand: She was allergic to cherries.
Once Usher finally realized she had a cherry allergy, he immediately made a joke to lighten the mood. “Does anybody have an Epipen in this bitch?” he asked the audience.
In April, Usher announced that he wouldn’t be feeding any fans cherries at a show in the United Arab Emirates, likely because of the country’s strict laws about public decency.
While performing at Club Social in Abu Dhabi, Usher apologized to the thousands of fans in attendance for not doing the stunt, promising that his “love” and “heart” would make up for it.
“I’m sorry, ladies and gentlemen. No, I will not be giving any cherries out tonight,” Usher said, prompting the audience to issue a collective groan. “But I have nothing but love for you. I give you my heart in exchange for the cherries. I give you my love in exchange for the cherries tonight.”
