Travis Scott had social media users talking after firing back at Pusha T on his newly released “JackBoys 2” compilation.
Travis Scott fired back at Pusha T on the new JackBoys 2 compilation, using his verse on “Champain & Vacay” to take aim at the veteran rapper’s following recent digs.
The track, which dropped Sunday (July 13) as part of the long-awaited JackBoys sequel, includes a pointed line that many interpreted as a direct response to Pusha’s recent jabs:
“Man these old n##### kill me/Know my YNs feel me… Blue Bugatti, dodgin TMZ/Made a hundred off of pushin tees/Now my phone on DND.”
The wordplay on “pushin tees” and the TMZ reference were seen as nods to Pusha’s earlier verse on Clipse’s “So Be It,” where he mocked Scott’s album Utopia, took a swipe at his relationship with Kylie Jenner and questioned his industry ties.
Pusha T Slams Travis Scott In Scathing Interview
The tension between the two artists reportedly dates back to a 2023 studio session in Paris.
Scott played music for Pharrell and Clipse but left out Drake’s verse on “Meltdown,” which included a diss aimed at Pharrell. That omission didn’t sit well with Pusha, who later aired his frustrations publicly.
“That lack of loyalty. Travis really has that,” he said in a recent interview. He didn’t mince words either, adding, “To me, that really was just like… he’s a w####. He’s a w####.”
Pusha also distanced himself from the GOOD Music circle.
“I personally have been removed from that crew and those people for a minute. So, that’s where my issue comes in,” he expained. “Like, dawg, don’t even come over here with that. Because at the end of the day, I don’t play how y’all play.”
The online reaction to Scott’s verse has been split. Many listeners warned that provoking Pusha might not be wise, given his history of surgical diss tracks. Others applauded Scott for standing his ground and responding with clever wordplay instead of interviews.
