After Cassie testified in court that Diddy halted one of his “freak-off” sex parties to confront Suge Knight, the Death Row Records co-founder has offered his thoughts on the sex trafficking and racketeering trial and said he believes Donald Trump might pardon Diddy.
In an interview with Chris Cuomo for NewsNation, Diddy’s former rival, who is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence on voluntary manslaughter charges, suggested that the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder will “be all right” despite facing serious prison time. He said that he believes Trump will “probably” pardon Diddy if he’s convicted in the trial, and that he doesn’t think Cassie is lying about his behaviour.
“I think he’s got some favors with the government,” he said. “I think they’re gonna show him a little leeway. It might not seem like it when it’s all said and done, but I don’t think he has nothing to worry about, and I don’t think he’s worried because he’s gonna be federal, and if he gets convicted, Trump’s gonna pardon him. … I feel that Puffy is going to be alright and have a fair shot at it. He’s not a dummy. I’m quite sure somebody is going to talk to those jurors and convince one or two of them.”

During her testimony in court on Tuesday, May 13, Cassie detailed an incident that went down during one of Diddy’s alleged “freak-off” parties. “We were having a freak-off in one of [Diddy’s] homes in LA and he said Suge was at Mel’s Diner, and we packed up and drove down there,” she said. “I was screaming and crying, ‘Please don’t do anything stupid.’ I didn’t know what they were going to do. It’s like I wasn’t even there.”
When asked about those claims, Knight said that if Diddy did abruptly leave one of his so-called “freak-offs,” he was never confronted by him. “A good thing they didn’t show up, somebody would have got hurt,” he said. “I don’t think Cassie is in a situation where she has to lie. I don’t think she’s in a situation where she’s got to worry anymore.”
During her testimony in court, Cassie detailed these alleged “freak-off” parties and said that he went from being her boyfriend to controlling every aspect of her life. “He called all of the shots,” she said. Across two days of testimony, she said he sexually assaulted her, forced her to have sex with male escorts, and forced participants to consume drugs that he supplied.
