Serato has opened the public beta for Serato DJ Pro 4.0 and Serato DJ Lite 4.0, marking the biggest update yet to the software’s library interface.
Developed with direct input from Serato’s global community of DJs, this release brings highly requested advancements designed to improve workflow and enhance performance.
Serato DJ 4.0’s all-new features streamline crate management while unlocking a more intuitive and customizable library experience. The update furthers Serato’s ongoing goal of creating tools that empower DJs to take their creativity and performance to new heights.
New Features in Serato DJ 4.0
- Search (not included in Serato DJ Lite 4.0), Organize, and Filter Crates Seamlessly: Advanced crate searching and filtering tools let you search for and sort your crates, as well as show what crates a particular track is in.
- Favorite Your Most Frequently Used Crate: Create a shortcut to your favorite or most used crates at the top of your crate list for easy access.
- Locate Crates at a Glance with Color Coding: Assign colors to crates in your library for increased visual organization.
- Crate Duration, Size, and Track Count Displayed in Library: Essential crate information is now conveniently located at the bottom of the library interface.
- Personalize Tracks with New Custom Rating Column: Assign a customizable rating scale of emojis for a fun, personalized touch.
- Maintain a Seamless Workflow with New Right-Click Functionalities: Integration of right-click features allows quick and easy access to crate actions and options.
- Analyze Tracks While Keeping Your Hardware Connected: Tracks can now continue to analyze BPM, key, and length while staying connected to hardware.
- Automatic Track Analysis: Track DNA will be automatically analyzed upon import for faster identification and organization.
- Add Both Local Files and Streaming Tracks to the Same Crate to Expand Creative Possibilities: Serato DJ Pro 4.0 users can now add both library and streaming tracks in the same crate, broadening the boundaries of creativity with increased choice.
