Rhino Reverb is a retro-inspired verb for macOS (macOSX 10.15 or later) and Windows (Windows 8 or later, 64-bit only). The formats are macOS (VST3, AU, AAX) and Windows (VST3, AAX).

Now, given that the developer has ‘pedal’ in their name and the fact that they call this release an amp, it might seem at first glance that this is a drop for guitarists.
But Rhino Reverb is in fact a general-purpose reverb unit that can be used on any source, as shown in the official YouTube demo.
With the release of Rhino Reverb, Safari Pedals aims to bring back the warm analog vibes of the classic hi-fi verb amplifier units of the ‘60s and ‘70s.
The company doesn’t name the units in question, but notes that the hardware units that inspired the plugin were treasured for their rich, bouncy spring textures.
Rhino Reverb is definitely a vibe release, as wherever you set the parameters, it still retains that distinctive vintage spring reverb tonality.
I like this approach as there’s plenty of reverbs on the market already, so if you’re gonna make a verb drop as an indie developer, it’s smart to make it distinctive.
The plugins’ parameters are very straightforward, which is no doubt a legacy of the hardware units that inspired them, as the ‘60s verbs have similar minimalist control schemes.

Rhino Reverb has the following parameters: Reverb, Filter, Width, Out, wet/dry Blend, and On/Off.
Filter and Width can be turned on or off with the red buttons next to the parameter names.
Safari Pedals explains that Width is a subtle way to add stereo expansion.
The devs also note that the Filter can get a “bit wild and crazy”. The Filter is designed for tonal shaping, and it not only filters the sound but also changes the filters as you run it at higher settings.
The control scheme is rounded out by a preset selector at the top of the interface, which has presets for drums, guitar, keys, vocals, and general use purposes.
Rhino Reverb is still a fairly recent release, with the plugin debuting in November 2023.
This freebie went live on October 11, 2025. It’s a limited-time release, but I can’t see any expiry date listed for the offer, so you probably want to get in quick.
