Internship Opportunity: Summer-ized Sessions
Summer-ized Sessions is a London-based record label and event brand known for releasing high-quality house music alongside hosting standout club nights across the UK and beyond. As the brand expands, they’re looking for a part-time Label Assistant to support releases on the Summer-ized Sessions record label. You’ll work within a fast-moving, well-connected team and gain hands-on experience across the music industry.
This is currently an unpaid starting position, with the potential to progress into a paid role based on performance, which is a solid entry point for anyone serious about working on the label side of the industry. Check out the opportunity here.
Remix Competition: Ellie Lawson x Amsterdam Trance Records
Ellie Lawson, Marketing & Branding tutor at pointblank, is producing a chill-out remix album with her label, Amsterdam Trance Records. She’s inviting students to remix her acappella tracks, with selected submissions earning a chance to be featured on the official release. pointblank Student Ambassador Programme
We’re looking for enthusiastic students to represent the pointblank community and connect with future learners. As a Student Ambassador, you’ll support open days, school fairs, and campus events, while sharing your own student experience and helping with key projects throughout the year. Open Mic Night with Grammy Award Winner Phil Ramocon
If performing is your focus, our Open Mic Night offers a low-pressure, high-impact way to get heard. Hosted by Grammy Award-winning musician and pointblank lecturer Phil Ramocon, the night runs on alternate Wednesdays at The Stag’s Head. Entry is free and open to singers, songwriters, and live acts. Just turn up and sign up between 6–7 PM — performances begin at 7:30 PM.
With over 25 years in the industry, Phil has co-written Neneh Cherry’s ‘Buffalo Stance’, worked with legends like Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Cliff, and Marianne Faithfull, and toured with Bob Marley. This isn’t a long application process or a distant showcase, it’s very much get on the mic and be heard. Check out the opportunity here.
