Big news from the pointblank family! Dry Bones, the reggae duo consisting of pointblank’s CEO, Rob Cowan, and Managing Director Jules Brookes, has released their very first album, Babylon Prophecy, on our record label, pointblank Recordings (PBR). The Dry Bones crew also consists of UK reggae icons, the legendary producer Dennis Bovell, Queen of Lover’s Rock Carroll Thompson, and specialist gifted keyboard player Phil Ramocon.
Dry Bones is a London-based reggae outfit with a philosophy rooted in love, respect and profound appreciation for the music’s origins. They first debuted with the single ‘Ghost Town’ in 2024. Quickly building momentum, the duo released three more tracks this year: Insanity, Pharmacy, and Remember What’s Right.
On 23 May 2025, their latest single from the album, Jonny Minor, significantly boosted their online presence and became their most popular song with over 17.5K streams on Spotify in a couple of weeks and an editorial playlisting. Without a doubt, they’ve been warmly welcomed by the reggae community, and their music is easily characterised as “Class A reggae done respectfully and right.” In fact, take a look at the wave of positive reviews for all their songs!
