Orange Tree Samples has announced the release of a virtual nylon acoustic guitar powered by Native Instruments’ Kontakt Player.
Evolution Honey Nylon aims to capture the sound of an authentic Spanish-made classical guitar, recorded entirely fingerstyle to preserve its natural, organic character.
Every subtle nuance is faithfully recreated, including the sound of fingertips brushing against the string just before plucking the note. Thanks to the generous amount of preroll included in the samples, these often-overlooked details help bring your performance to life.
The instrument is based on Orange Tree Samples’ Evolution engine, which features built-in strumming patterns, a customizable articulation mapping system, and a collection of effects. The library includes a wide assortment of factory presets for ready-to-use nylon guitar tones.
Evolution Honey Nylon features
- Over 12,600 samples totaling 9.45 GB (compressed to 4.12 GB using the lossless NCW audio format).
- Articulations such as sustains, palm mutes, fully muted notes, natural harmonics, plus special effects like string slaps, body hits, and more.
- Legato samples for slides, hammer-ons, and pull-offs.
- Built-in pattern editor and chord voicing system for strumming and picking.
- Adjustable pick position using our proprietary physical modeling technology.
The instrument library is on sale for an introductory price of $139 USD until August 15th, 2025 (regular $179 USD).
