Our very own Leah Haworth has just dropped a brand-new single, ‘Rise’, on our in-house label, pointblank Recordings. Bright, positive, and quietly powerful, ‘Rise’ showcases Leah’s tender vocal delivery, with harmonies in the chorus adding real energy and momentum. Behind that glow sits a deeply personal story – a song written while “searching for the light” after almost losing her mother. In a note to herself she wrote –
“It all works out in the end… in the darkness you found yourself searching for the light. ‘Rise’ was born after almost losing your mother – a reminder to trust the angels watching over you, and a lesson in both loving and letting go.”
If you’re into soft-folk textures, intimate storytelling, and a touch of empowerment, this one will quickly become a favourite.
For those discovering Leah for the first time: she’s a singer-songwriter from Lancashire, known for her delicate, acoustic ballads. She picked up the guitar at 11, moved to London at 16 to study at The BRIT School, and has been honing her craft ever since. That love of songwriting runs deep – you can hear the emotional honesty woven through all her music.
She joined pointblank Music School to study the BA (Hons) Music Business degree before signing to pointblank Recordings in 2022. She dropped her first single with us in February 2024 – “To The Moon and Back” which already cleared 100,000 streams. And the momentum’s still rolling: her 2024 EP, “Here in the Stars,” recently surpassed 300,000 streams on Spotify.
What we love most is how Leah balances simplicity with depth. Her music reflects a personal journey from adolescence to adulthood, told with honesty and warmth in every note. We couldn’t be prouder of her achievements; they’re a testament to Leah’s talent and to the supportive community at pointblank that’s helped her grow from student to emerging folk sensation.
