Beyoncé fans in Paris were treated with a rare performance of “Ni**as in Paris,” albeit sans the artist formerly known as Kanye West, thanks to a surprise Cowboy Carter Tour appearance by Jay-Z.
As seen in fan-shared footage from the 35-time Grammy winner’s third and final show at Stade de France in Saint-Denis this weekend, Jay first popped up during a live rendition of “Crazy in Love,” the Dangerously in Love hit that topped the Billboard Hot 100 back in 2003.
Jay and Ye’s 2011 joint studio album Watch the Throne was also well-represented, as the Paris crowd got a Jay-only performance of one of its signature tracks, namely one that still stands as a staple of both Jay and Ye’s respective rosters of hits. The song in question, “Ni**as in Paris,” was certified by the RIAA as 10-times multi-platinum back in 2023.

“Bitch, behave, I just might let you meet Bey,” Jay rapped during the surprise Paris performance of the song, marking a slight tweak to the original line, which instead mentions Ye. These days, of course, it seems the chances of Jay and Ye working together again are slimmer than they’ve ever been.
Next on the Cowboy Carter Tour is a pair of shows at NRG Stadium in Houston, followed by additional multi-night stops in Landover and Atlanta before the journey comes to an end in Paradise Nevade on July 26.
Rumors and speculation have long persisted about where Beyoncé may be taking fans on her next album, which is set to conclude a trilogy that also counts Renaissance and Cowboy Carter among its ranks. For many fans, all signs arguably point to a potential rock-focused project from Bey. Some went as far as floating a few potential collaboration ideas back in April of last year, with Playboi Carti and Haim both garnering mentions.
