Ice-T is set to host an upcoming A&E special, Fame & Fentanyl, that will look into the tragic deaths of Prince, Michael K. Williams, Angus Cloud, and more.
The two-hour special, which premieres on Monday, Aug. 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, will explore the lives and fentanyl-related demises of celebrities. Surviving families of deceased victims will provide testimonies to bring awareness to the drug epidemic.
Prince died in 2016 after experiencing “exceedingly high” fentanyl levels. Rock musician Tom Petty died two years later from an “accidental overdose” that included a toxic mix of fentanyl and oxycodone.
Fame & Fentanyl will also include interviews with experts and special agents with deep-dive insight into criminal investigations of drug dealers.

“Fentanyl, for me, came out of nowhere,” Ice-T said in a press release. “By the time I learned about the drug, I had already lost people to it. It’s a poison in the drug world, and I wanted to do everything that I could to make people aware of its danger.”
Fentanyl-related deaths have grown to more than 70,000 per year, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, leading officials to declare deaths from the addictive substance a public health crisis.
ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
