Heads up, Tems fans. Billboard has launched an exclusive Pinterest board honoring the Nigerian chart-topper’s latest role: Billboard cover superstar.
On Thursday, May 15, the board was released, offering fans all the behind-the-scenes action of Tems’ newest feature. The shoot, which took place in London in April, was led by photographer Zoe McConnell. Throughout the board, which includes over 40 different snapshots and video clips, the Afrobeats star is seen in a number of outfits by the likes of Marc Jacobs, Ferragamo and more. “I’m wearing this fur outfit. It’s fabulous. I feel like a mob wive slash model slash, I don’t know, some kind of boss,” she told fans in one of the behind-the-scenes clips. “I really like it. It’s giving me endorphins. This is the most fab thing I’ve worn all day and I want to take it home.”
Given the cover shoot marks a massive first for the star, the Pinterest board also offers a comprehensive look at much more than wardrobe. Throughout the board, fans can get a close glimpse at the photoshoot’s set design, jewelry and shoe selection and even some exclusive physical photo prints from the set. “It’s crazy. It was so much fun, the most fun I’ve had on a shoot,” Tems said in another clip. “First Billboard cover done in six hours like light work. It’s literally like nothing at all.”
In the accompanying interview, the star revealed that she’s in the studio working on material “that [she’s] really excited about that sounds nothing like Born in the Wild.” “I’m so obsessed with the songs that I’ve not shared that I’m not even thinking about the outside world,” she explained. “I’m more concerned with the creation of the art than the acknowledgment.”
